The movie is a slight variation on the script of the original movie, with a couple of dialogue and similar portions, for example, the dramatic death scene. After the death of the character Paresh Saxena (played by actor Deven Verma in the original), the audience is informed that, at some point, the "lady" is going to be cremated. The film is, therefore, a remake of the original film.
In spite of the change in plot, the movie is extremely faithful to the original. For example, when the police inspector asks the waiter if he would like to see the room where his employer was killed, the waiter responds with the exact dialogue from the original film.

Review –
The story is told from the point of view of the hero who gets the girl he loves (Devika) in marriage. The heroine is played by Waheeda Rehman. Even though the movie is based on an original script, the movie is extremely faithful to the original. For example, when the police inspector asks the waiter if he would like to see the room where his employer was killed, the waiter responds with the exact dialogue from the original movie.
In the movie, the characters Devika (Waheeda Rehman) and Bimla (Kavita Seth) have a very deep relationship and this translates to the audience as well. In the original version, we see them going for a horse ride together. In this version, the horse ride has been replaced by a conveyor belt. Devika and Bimla are the only survivors of an accident that has killed several people.
Bimla wants to go back to her parents in Delhi and Devika wants to go back to her mother in Kathmandu. Their parents want to get them married. They do get married, but their marriage is short lived.
In the original movie, after the death of Bimla, Devika asks the waiter to inform the police. The police inspector comes, and instead of telling him that Bimla was killed, Devika tells the inspector that she wants to tell him about Bimla’s relationship with a girl ac619d1d87
